Eduardo Brazão was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the age of nine. He still remembers the view from his home overlooking Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain in the marvelous city of Rio. His family eventually returned to Lisbon, where Eduardo completed high school and studied law for three years. He attended university in the United States and, back in Lisbon, worked for the Portuguese government and earned an MBA. His professional path led him to live in New Hampshire, Texas, and Virginia, where he currently resides.
In addition to his full-time career in the telecommunications sector, Eduardo is fascinated by technology and passionate about photography and writing. He published his first writings in 2008 as part of Roda Mundo, a collection of works by writers and poets organized by Douglas Lara. In 2014, he published the second edition of two books by his grandfather, Ambassador Eduardo Brazão: Memorial de Dom Quixote and Maria do Mar. In 2019, he published The Text Messaging Voyage: An Uncluttered Journey for Nontechnical Souls (in English).
More recently he published Caminhos da Alma (Paths of the Soul) combining writing, images captured by his camera, and the musicality of poems he wrote, set to music by an AI platform. He chose Portuguese and Brazilian voices, and instruments such as the Portuguese guitar, classical guitar, viola, and clarinet. He brought together various rhythms, ranging from Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) and fado to indie, among others.
